Saturday, Apr 18, 2020 at 7:30 PM (PT) to Saturday, Apr 18, 2020 at 9:30 PM (PT)

Join us for a West Coast edition of The Universe in Verse—an annual charitable celebration of science through poetry, created and hosted by Maria Popova. At UCSC's majestic outdoor amphitheater in the redwoods, under the theme “What Is Life?” and the auspices of UCSC astronomer Natalie Batalha’s new astrobiology institute, a cast of writers, artists, and scientists—including recipients of the Nobel Prize, the Tony Award, and the MacArthur “genius” Fellowship—will celebrate the science, marvel, and mystery of life with poems woven together with storytelling and music. Starring Rebecca Solnit, Eve Ensler, Krista Tippett, and a dozen other remarkable humans. Learn more about the program here.

Based on your financial ability and willingness to support this charitable labor of love, please consider making a higher donation by choosing the Gold Circle ticket (orchestra seating).
